Learning Express Library |
Learning Express Library offers a
wealth of educational information, including exercises,
skill-building courses and practice tests.
It's a learning center for students, job seekers, and
immigrants. There are sections for elementary,
middle, and high school studies, college courses, jobs
and careers, GED preparation, US citizenship, and more.
Computer skills courses include Photoshop, Illustrator,
Microsoft Office and both Windows and Mac Operating Systems.
Registration to use all of the resources is free with
your library membership. Click the "New Users:
Register" button and begin. Returning users log in
on the home page.

Niigata, the Area of Plenty at the
Galveston & Texas History Center (3rd Floor).
The City of Niigata, Japan, one of Galveston's "sister" cities,
along with the Niigata Galveston Committee, raised $30,000 for
Hurricane Ike disaster relief and helped in Galveston tree
reforestation activities along Rosenberg Boulevard. The Rosenberg
Library Museum houses a large collection of gifts and artwork from
Niigata school children, as well as gifts given to visiting
Galvestonians.
