Adult Anime and Manga Club

Tuesday, January 7th @ 4:30 PM
Be a part of our new Rosenberg Library Adult Anime and Manga club! For January we’ll be discussing Kei Sanbe’s Erased (December’s selection), and celebrating the famed animator Hayao Miyazaki’s birthday with a film (Ponyo (2008)) and a craft. Tasty Refreshments will be served.

Quilting in the African American Tradition

Monday, February 17th, 4 PM
Did you know enslaved people escaped using maps stitched into quilts? Kids will leave with a paper quilt block from the Underground Railroad Quilt. Find out more in this program with Sharon Gillins. Parents, grandparents, and guardians are welcome!

What’s All That Jazz About?

Wednesday, February 26th, 4:30 PM
Clever listening games, live music, dramatic storytelling, group participation, and humorous demonstrations lead the audience through a highly interactive and entertaining program presented by Shenole Latimer to introduce colorful and expressive American music known as jazz. Recommended for ages 4 – 10 and their families.

Daylight Savings Time has our Time Machine all out of whack! Solve puzzles and follow the clues through history to Spring Forward back to the Present. Sessions for the Escape Room start periodically; sign up at the Children’s Reference Desk. Recommended for children 6+.
