You can request tools! Start by browsing through the Houston ToolBank’s inventory list, then submit your request using the form below. Please note, tool requests will be granted based on the availability of library funds and at the discretion of selection librarians. A fee may be added to requestor’s account if a requested tool is not checked out by the requester.

All Rosenberg Library Tool Collection items are used at the customer’s own risk. Customers must complete a Tool Collection Liability Waiver before checkout at the Circulation Desk. Must be eighteen (18) years or older with a full member card in good standing to checkout tools. Tools are checked out as is, with no additional equipment unless otherwise specified.

How long can I check out tools?

Tools are checked out for three weeks. You can return them any time before the three weeks ends just like other library items, however you cannot renew for additional time.

How many tools can I check out?

Two (2) tools can be checked out per customer/cardholder.

I broke/lost the tool, what do I do?

A replacement fee, based on the Houston ToolBank’s cost of replacement, will be accessed for broken/unreturned tools.
